Welcome!

I am a doctoral student in the Department of Communication at Rutgers University. I am currently enrolled in my third year of graduate coursework and teach an introductory course on interpersonal communication as a lecturer

My research interests lie primarily in language and social interaction, specifically in narrative, conversation analysis, and issues of identity. I am also interested in various issues in interpersonal communication. In addition to these interests, I
enjoy teaching undergraduates in courses aimed at improving our "everyday" communication skills

As for my background, I am originally from the metro-Detroit area. I received a BA in philosophy from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor and my MA in communication & linguistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. When am lucky enough to have some spare time on my hands, I enjoy exercising, book clubs, and working on the potter's wheel.
