Welcome to my professional home on the web!
I am an Assistant Professor of Qualitative Communication Inquiry in the Department of Communication at SUNY New Paltz. My research and teaching interests center around the dynamics of everyday talk. Using qualitative methods, I examine the situated communication practices that construct identities and relationships in a variety of mundane and professional settings. While my background lies in the fields of Language and Social Interaction (LSI) and Interpersonal Communication, my work often leads me to explore intersections with a range of disciplinary foci such as technology, organizations, and health, among others.
